How to Receive Eternal Life

“For by grace are you saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: Not of works, lest any man should boast.” Ephesians 2:8-9

Our eternal home in heaven is a gift of God. We cannot earn it by works or by any personal abilities. We must accept God’s gift of His Son by grace through faith.

God’s Act of Love

(He sent His Son)

“For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved.” John 3:16-17

God loved all mankind and gave his Son, Jesus Christ so that you can be saved from your sinful condition.

The Reason for Sending His Son

(mankind needs a Saviour)

“For all have sinned and come short of the glory of God.” Romans 3:23
“For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.” Romans 6:23

We are all sinners by nature. We were born into sin. Due to this, God required a payment which is death. Only Jesus Christ could pay that payment.

God’s Invitation to Mankind

“Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.” Matthew 11:28

“That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.”  Romans 10:9-13

We want to encourage you to confess your sin unto God, and place your faith in the work of Jesus Christ on the cross. His death, burial, and resurrection, was for you. And then find a Bible-believing, Bible-preaching church, so you can grow in the grace and knowledge of Jesus Christ. Salvation is only the beginning of wonderful journey with The Lord.
